We seek to provide a holistic legal service for the benefit of disadvantaged and marginalised people to create a more just society.
Solicitors are able to provide legal advice between 9am–3pm Monday to Friday by appointment, but times between 8:30am - 5pm can be arranged. The centre is not able to provide advice on some areas of law, such as commercial matters, personal injuries, criminal law and conveyancing.
Appointments can be provided in person or by phone.
MRCLC also provides advice appointments in Bowen, Proserpine, Cannonvale and Sarina once a month.
LEGAL ADVICE EVENINGS
Legal advice evenings are held 2 evenings a month between 5:35pm - 8:00pm. Volunteer solicitors, social workers, co-ordinators and migration agents provide information, advice, referrals and counselling by appointment.
Please contact us if you would like to volunteer as an evening co-ordinator, solicitor, barrister, social worker or migration agent at these evenings.
